What was once an ultimate love brand, a symbol of freedom and a modern, supranational vision of the state – the USA – is slowly but surely turning, under the influence of ultraconservative far-right movements amplified through social media, into yet another chauvinistic, bigoted, clerical/fascist autocracy with imperial ambitions. The main face of these deep changes is an especially repulsive figure of modern history. Baron Harkonnen IRL: Donald Trump.
After Vladimir Putin, another deranged old man who should have been farting under a blanket and staring at the TV long ago. Instead of quietly mumbling somewhere out of sight, this geriatric asshole poisons our lives and tries to fuck up everything democracies have managed to build so far.
We pray for the midterms and symbolically shout at the clouds: “Fuck Trump.”
